The Fam

Meet The Jarvis Family!
The pic above is one of those pictures you dream of when you are dating your soul mate, when you think about your future together....and holy schmoly my future is here!

Matt and I met when we were 15 in...wait for it... the band hall. That's right folks, as non-nerdy as we seem, we were band geeks. It gets worse. I played the TUBA! Yikes...moving on. After striking up one heck of a fun friendship, Matt and I realized we kind of matched perfectly. This semi-shy football boy and  loud silly track gal were destined to balance each other for life! After a high school courtship, Matt and I decided on trying different colleges, to ensure our commitment was true. I set off to run track for Sam Houston State, and he left for football at Hardin Simmons University. The lesson learned: the pain of being separated reiterated the fact that we were meant to be together. Forever. A summer marriage came in 2006 after 5 years of dating, then a move to Kansas City to pursue Matt's pharmacy school education.

The Kansas City Goal: Get Matt through pharmacy school; and on his 5th/final year in school, we'd discuss babies. Doing the math, Matt and I figured if we started trying in August of 2011, that if we happened to get pregnant, a baby would be here AFTER graduation! Welp, 3 days and 1 try later, we were blessed to find out we were pregnant!!!!!!!!! WHOA BABY! Here's the kicker....the due date: Pharmacy Graduation Day! How's THAT for math people!

To keep things interesting, Tallan decided she wanted to attend daddy's graduation in person; and she came 4 weeks early on April 10, 2012. She was perfect and we couldn't be more excited to have her as a part of our family!

We have since embarked on this roller coaster of a parenting journey as a new pharmacist, a stay at home mom, and two goofballs having a blast with our baby. Matt and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this Summer, as well as over a decade of being in each other's lives. I have shared so many memories with this man since I was 15; and I could not think of anyone better to experience life's milestones with!

Welcome to my family! Nice to meet ya'll!
